Fla. Retailer To Pay Ex-Worker $322K Over Race Bias Claims

Law360 (March 19, 2019, 4:56 PM EDT) -- Fanatics Retail Group Fulfillment LLC will pay a former employee $322,050 to settle claims the retailer held black and white employees to different standards and allowed blatant racism, including calling the employee a racial slur on his first day.

The settlement ends a suit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in July on behalf of former Fanatics employee Vincent Perkins but is not an admission of guilt by Fanatics, according to the proposed consent decree filed Tuesday.
