Shareholders Ink Deal With Ex-Insys Exec Over Fraud Claims
Law360 (May 11, 2020, 3:53 PM EDT) -- A proposed shareholder class announced a settlement with a former Insys Therapeutics executive in Arizona federal court on Friday, which would bring an end to securities fraud claims over the company's alleged kickbacks to doctors who prescribed an addictive opioid spray.
Although the terms of the deal won't be revealed for up to two more weeks, lead plaintiff Clark Miller said the proposed class and Insys' ex-Chief Financial Officer Darryl Baker had agreed to resolve allegations against Baker for his purported role in the alleged bribery, according to a brief notice.
