Ill. Town Can't Dodge $7.3M Police Pension Bill

Law360, Chicago (January 24, 2017, 5:42 PM EST) -- The city of Harvey, Illinois, must pay a $7.3 million tax bill to the Harvey Police Pension Fund, an Illinois state appellate court said Monday, upholding a lower court's decision in a more than decade-old case involving the notoriously cash-strapped city.
