ITC Clears Arista In Ethernet Patent Dispute With Cisco

Law360 (June 28, 2018, 4:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled in favor of Arista Networks Inc. in a case in which the company was accused of infringing Cisco Systems Inc.'s patents, finding that Cisco failed to show that Arista's network switches are likely to still infringe after being redesigned.

The ITC on Tuesday mostly concluded a probe into Arista's network switches, ending Cisco's bid to have a redesigned version of the switches banned pursuant to a May 2017 ban on switches imported by Arista for infringing U.S. Patent Number 6,377,577.
