Facebook Loses Bid To Toss Lamebook Suit In IP Row

Law360, New York (June 15, 2011, 4:06 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge denied Facebook Inc.'s bid Wednesday to have a suit filed by self-described parody website operator Lamebook LLC dismissed or transferred to California, where Facebook has sued Lamebook for trademark infringement.

U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks handed down an order rejecting Facebook's argument that Lamebook filed its declaratory judgment suit in Texas solely to stop Facebook from bringing its trademark case in the forum of its choosing.
