By Chelsea Naso ( October 28, 2014, 6:46 PM EDT) -- French telecommunications operator Numericable Group SA is set to kick off a €4.7 billion ($6 billion) capital hike on Wednesday to finance its takeover of Vivendi SA's mobile network operator SFR, which involves forking over €13.5 billion in cash, Reuters reported citing a source familiar with the matter. The SFR takeover, which got the green light from regulators on Monday, also calls for Numericable to leave a 20 percent stake in the combined entity for Vivendi and a possible milestone payment. ...
