Deals Rumor Mill: Praxair, Warburg Pincus, Garena

By Benjamin Horney (January 11, 2017, 7:03 PM EST) -- If U.S. industrial gas company Praxair Inc. and German peer Linde AG have to divest assets in order for their $42.5 billion merger to pass regulatory muster, count Brazilian gas company IBG-Industria Brasileira de Gases Ltda among those interested in bidding, according to a report from Reuters on Wednesday. According to the report, which cited local publication Valor Economico, Brazil's antitrust authority could seek concessions before allowing the deal, and IBG is ready and waiting to bid for any assets in Brazil's north and northeastern regions. Praxair and Linde inked their deal in December....
