Anadarko Playing Victim In $26M Tax Refund Row, IRS Argues

Law360 (March 22, 2018, 4:27 PM EDT) -- The IRS told a Texas federal court Wednesday to reject a quick-win request from Anadarko Petroleum Corp., saying the oil company is playing the victim, while Anadarko said the government is just restating the same arguments.

The back-and-forth in the summary judgment battle comes as Anadarko tries to claim a $26 million tax refund on a loss stemming from the liquidation of a Venezuelan subsidiary.
