Feds Bristle At Ex-ABB Exec's Bid To Toss FCPA Case

Law360, New York (May 6, 2011, 4:30 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors on Thursday rebuffed a former ABB Inc. general manager's claims that the government concealed exculpatory evidence in the Texas case alleging he bribed Mexican officials for utility contracts worth tens of millions of dollars.

Defendant John Joseph O’Shea’s bid to scrap the indictment for so-called Brady violations is baseless because the government has never hidden evidence regarding O’Shea’s role in an alleged conspiracy to bribe officials to secure contracts with the Mexican state-owned utility Comision Federal de Electricidad.
