Porter Hedges Adds New Partner To Houston Energy Practice

By Michelle Casady (March 21, 2016, 7:35 PM EDT) -- Porter Hedges LLP on Monday announced that it is continuing strategic growth of the firm's energy practice and bringing aboard Houston native James T. Thompson as a partner.

Thompson came to the firm from Watt Thompson & Henneman LLP, where he represented both major and independent oil and gas companies, oilfield service providers and royalty owners in negotiations, preparation and implementation of all types of oil- and gas-related agreements, along with litigation support on disputes involving upstream and midstream energy issues.

Thompson told Law360 Monday that the reasons for his move were simple.
