The Outlook For M&A In Southeastern US

M&A activity in the first part of 2016 was adversely influenced by uncertainty surrounding the U.S. election, as well as world economic and geopolitical concerns, and expectations of rising interest rates, among other things. These factors combined to create a widespread "wait and see" attitude. The result was that activity in the first three quarters of 2016 was down by 19.2 percent compared to 2015, and down by 22 percent compared to 2014, according to MergerMarket....
