2nd Circ. Referees Fund Founder's Suit Against Prosecutors

Law360, New York (March 24, 2017, 6:04 PM EDT) -- Manhattan federal prosecutors told the Second Circuit on Friday they face an "enormous burden" if Level Global Investors LP founder David Ganek is allowed to take them to trial over search warrants obtained from allegedly false information, while Ganek's lawyer argued that the parade of horribles marches the other way.

U.S. Circuit Judges Reena Raggi, Denny Chin and Susan L. Carney are refereeing the high-profile civil case in which Ganek, an insider-trading suspect who was never charged, presses his civil claims alleging an illegal search that wrecked his business.
