9th Circ. Upholds Calif. Tribe's Groundwater Rights

Law360, New York (March 7, 2017, 12:28 PM EST) -- The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a lower court ruling extending the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians’ water rights to groundwater in the Coachella Valley, saying the federal government set those rights aside for the tribe when it created its reservation.
