Food Buyer Pleads Guilty In Tomato Bribe Scam

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New Jersey food buyer has become the latest to plead guilty in an alleged bribery scheme involving California tomato processor SK Foods Ltd., joining workers from Kraft Foods Inc. and Frito-Lay Inc. who have already admitted involvement in the scheme.

Robert C. Turner of Randolph, N.J., pled guilty Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California to two counts of honest services mail fraud, for taking bribes in exchange for involving his past employers in unfavorable deals with SK Foods....
