NY State Comptroller Targets Aldus In Kickback Suit

Law360, New York (May 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New York State Comptroller Thomas D. DiNapoli has accused private equity services firm Aldus Equity Partners LP and founding partner Saul Meyer of fraud and bribery in a lawsuit over an alleged pay-to-play kickback scheme involving the state's $122 billion pension fund.

The 32-page complaint was filed in the New York State Supreme Court in Albany on Wednesday. It seeks reimbursement of more than $5 million in fees in addition to other compensatory and punitive damages.
