Chat Service Sues Microsoft For Patent Infringement

Law360, New York (September 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Claiming that the Xbox videogame console’s Xbox Live online gaming service violated its patents, online chat company Paltalk Holdings Inc. sued Xbox creator Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday for patent infringement.

In documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday, Paltalk accused Microsoft of infringing on three Paltalk patents related to “a number of aspects of online gaming, including communications through a group message server as well as establishing groups for online game play.”
