NRG Must Pay Retiree Benefits Despite Ch. 11: Judge

Law360 (May 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court has ordered NRG Energy Inc. to recalculate pension benefits for retired employees despite the power generator's claim that a Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan confirmed in 2003 precludes any responsibility to the retirees.
