$6.5M AXA Overtime Deal Gets Preliminary Approval

Law360 (May 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The lead plaintiffs in a consolidated wage-and-hour collective and class action against AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. have overcome the final obstacle in their path to a $6.5 million settlement and won preliminary approval of the deal after revising the proposed class notice.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White of the Northern District of California on Tuesday signed an order conditionally certifying three subclasses of financial sales staff, ordering notice to be sent to applicable class members.
