Miami Medicare Conspirator Gets 5 Years For $63M Scheme

Law360 (February 22, 2018, 7:49 PM EST) -- A Florida resident has been sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay $9.9 million in restitution for his role in a $63 million health care fraud scheme in which he received kickbacks for referring Medicare patients to a community mental health center, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.
