Family Of Veteran Who Committed Suicide Wins Med Mal Trial

Law360 (February 26, 2018, 10:13 PM EST) -- A Kansas federal judge ruled Friday that the federal government is liable in a suit accusing Veterans Affairs medical staff of being responsible for the suicide of a former U.S. Marine suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Following a seven-day bench trial held in January, U.S. District Judge Julie A. Robinson found that medical staff at the Kansas City VA Medical Center provided negligent treatment to William P.
