Rubbermaid Wins Approval Of Award Over No-Show Supplier

Law360 (March 5, 2018, 7:21 PM EST) -- A New York federal court has confirmed an International Centre for Dispute Resolution breach of contract award topping $850,000 won by Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC against a Chinese supplier accused of never furnishing paid-for cookware and never returning Rubbermaid molds and tools.

U.S. District Judge Paul G. Gardephe in a default judgment order Thursday decreed the final arbitration award must stand against Taizhou Yinshan Manufacturing Brushes Co. Ltd. because the supplier has failed to respond to a summons from the Central Authority in the People's Republic of China.
