Tribe Member Presses Justices To Hear Banishment Case

Law360 (March 7, 2018, 9:07 PM EST) -- A United Auburn Indian Community member again urged the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday to grant her petition challenging a Ninth Circuit decision that backed the tribe’s right to banish her, arguing that the fact her banishment was temporary doesn't mean she isn't entitled to a habeas corpus review in federal court.
