Judge Won't Put Brakes On Auto-Lamp Patent Spat

Law360 (May 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied manufacturer Label Technologies Inc.'s bid to wriggle out of a patent infringement suit with W.L. Gore & Associates, ruling that district court in Delaware is an appropriate venue for the dispute over a venting system used in automotive lamps.

Judge Gregory M. Sleet denied LTI's motion for summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Friday, finding the state's long-arm statute applied to the Georgia-based specialty manufacturer.
