Ariz. City Fights To Stop Coyotes From Moving Out

Law360, New York (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to keep its hometown hockey team from relocating to Canada, the city of Glendale, Ariz., has moved for injunctive relief to enforce the terms of its lease with the Phoenix Coyotes, which recently filed for Chapter 11 protection.

The city filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, where the team's Chapter 11 proceedings have been heating up as the National Hockey League and team owner Jerry Moyes spar over who should represent the franchise in bankruptcy court....
