Sprint Call Center Workers Win Back Wages

Law360, New York (May 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. is reportedly set to fork over nearly $260,000 in back wages to more than 1,000 employees in addition to a $120,000 fine to the government for allegedly failing to pay overtime wages to workers at one of its call centers.

The payout comes after a federal labor investigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor, which announced the penalties Thursday, the Associated Press reported.
