Fla. Swingers Club Expert DQ'd In Models' IP Spat

Law360 (April 13, 2018, 10:18 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Thursday disqualified an expert damages witness for a Tampa-area swingers club accused of using several models' likenesses without permission, adopting a magistrate's recommendation that he be excluded because he did not demonstrate a reliable methodology.

The would-be witness, certified public accountant Norman S. Friedman, was put forward by defendants Andrew and Susan Harrow to counter the damages claims of 20 professional models who allege the pair made a fortune by illegally using their likenesses in flyers to promote parties, theme nights...
