Deals Rumor Mill: Qualcomm, Marriott, Hearthside

The report follows a Friday announcement by the American semiconductor giant that it was extending the offering period related to the proposed takeover. According to Reuters' report, China's is the last of nine required government approvals needed to seal the deal. Citing anonymous sources, Reuters reported that Qualcomm withdrew its prior application on Saturday after a request by China's commerce ministry. The agency had until Tuesday to make a decision, according to the report....
