NFL Tries To Ditch Players' Claims In StarCaps Suit

Law360 (May 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The National Football League is appealing a federal judge's decision to keep certain state law claims alive in a lawsuit alleging the league failed to warn players about the risks of taking the dietary supplement StarCaps.

In a notice of appeal filed Tuesday, the league said it was appealing the decision not to dismiss two claims alleging the NFL violated Minnesota law on workplace drug testing and a law governing how employers handle lawful consumption outside work.
