Chrysler Sale Hearing Proceeds Over Objections

Law360 (May 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge on Wednesday denied bids by a group of Indiana pension funds and a committee of Chrysler dealers to delay a hearing on Chrysler LLC's proposed $2 billion sale to Fiat SpA, which promises to propel Chrysler out of Chapter 11 if it is approved.

Judge Arther J. Gonzalez, who has been presiding over the case, began the hearing as scheduled Wednesday morning, despite motions to postpone it.
