Geico Hit With OT Class Action

Law360 (May 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Government Employees Insurance Co. claims examiner has hit the company with a proposed class and collective action that alleges the insurer shortchanges its employees as a matter of policy.

The insurance giant does not compensate employees for all the hours they work or pay overtime, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York by former Geico employee Candace Hunter.

Hunter wants back pay for herself and other workers, along with class and collective action...
