Bid To Replead Medtronic Securities Suit Denied

Law360 (June 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has denied a bid by plaintiffs in multidistrict securities litigation against Medtronic Inc. over fatal defects in its Sprint Fidelis defibrillator leads to replead their case, which was dismissed in March, in light of new information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Judge Richard H. Kyle, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, ruled Friday that the new information wouldn't salvage the plaintiffs case.
