Advertising Co. Sues Gov't Over CEO's L-1 Visa Denial
By Kevin Penton (May 23, 2018, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Federal immigration officials violated federal immigration and procedural law when they denied an L-1 visa extension application for the CEO of the U.S. affiliate of a Dubai-based advertising agency, the company alleged in Illinois federal court on Tuesday.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services violated the Immigration and Nationality Act by failing to properly consider the overall organizational structure and purpose of Add Chapter Design LLC when it rejected the visa extension bid for Samer Khwaiss, according to the complaint the company filed in the Northern District of Illinois.
