Trade Show Co. Sues Insurer Over IP Suit Defense

Law360, New York (June 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rockland Exposition Inc. has sued Great American Assurance Co. over the insurer's duty to defend and indemnify the automobile trade show promoter in a pending trademark infringement suit.

In a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Middletown, N.Y.-based Rockland is seeking damages and declaratory relief against Great American for allegedly breaching its contractual obligations regarding third-party claims in a commercial liability policy the insurer issued to Rockland.
