Alleged Credit Suisse Fraudster Goes On The Lam

Law360, New York (June 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Credit Suisse Group broker facing trial over an alleged $1 billion dollar fraud has turned fugitive, prosecutors said in a letter to a federal court judge.

Julian Tzolov, a Bulgaria native charged with fraud in connection with an investment scandal, has eluded federal authorities since May 9, prosecutors said in a letter to Judge Jack B. Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Tzolov allegedly misdirected clients' money into risky funds to win bigger commissions.
