What NFL Should Do About Cheerleader Discrimination Claims

Law360 (June 21, 2018, 12:51 PM EDT) -- The National Football League has been implicated in the #MeToo movement as it faces a series of sexual harassment and gender discrimination allegations against individual NFL teams, including the New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans. To remedy these issues, the NFL and its teams should enact — and strictly enforce — policies that clearly forbid sexual harassment, implement adequate reporting mechanisms so women feel comfortable reporting harassment without fear of retaliation, and institute improved oversight by the NFL and team front offices to ensure compliance with such policies.
