LA Rams Net Early Win In Suit Over St. Louis Seat Licenses

Law360 (June 28, 2018, 2:50 PM EDT) -- A Missouri federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a suit alleging the Los Angeles Rams breached a contract by refusing to honor a private lender’s right to season tickets after the team left St. Louis, saying the agreement doesn’t apply to games played elsewhere.

U.S. District Judge Jean C. Hamilton granted the Los Angeles Rams LLC’s bid for summary judgment because the personal seat licenses acquired by RCN Capital LLC allowed for the purchase of season tickets for games “played by the team in the Stadium at America’s Center … located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri,” the order said....
