Broadway Producers Drop Cartel Claims Against Casting Cos.
Law360 (June 29, 2018, 2:32 PM EDT) -- A trade association for Broadway theater workers has dropped a lawsuit accusing several casting companies and New York's Teamsters Union of forming a cartel, after months of settlement negotiations, the group has told a New York federal judge.
The Broadway League filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Wednesday releasing Local 817 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and several of Broadway's casting companies from claims that they fixed prices and made collective demands.
