Pioneer Sues Samsung Over Plasma Display Patents

Law360 (September 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pioneer Corp., a Tokyo-based electronics maker, has asserted two of its plasma display patents against South Korean competitor Samsung SDI Co. Ltd. and its affiliates.

Pioneer launched the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Samsung and its South Korean and U.S. affiliates infringed its patents by selling and importing Samsung plasma technology into the United States.
