Lockheed, Northrop, Raytheon Share $4.1B Missile Contract

Law360 (July 11, 2018, 5:47 PM EDT) -- Raytheon Co., Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp. were jointly awarded a $4.1 billion contract from the Missile Defense Agency to enhance the radar capabilities of the ballistic missile defense system, the U.S. Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The three defense giants will compete with each other for task orders within the contract, providing “autonomous acquisition and persistent precision tracking and discrimination to optimize the defensive capability of the ballistic missile defense system and counter evolving threats,” the DOD said.
