Google Complies, Posts Ruling On Belgian Sites

Law360, New York (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dropping its challenge to a court order in Belgium, Google Inc. decided over the weekend to post a judge’s ruling which orders the Internet search giant to remove certain articles and photographs from its Belgian homepage and news service.

Google posted the ruling on its sites as instructed, according to Google’s spokesperson for the region, D.J. Collins. Although Google decided not to resist posting the ruling, it will move forward with its appeal of the ruling, which will be the subject of a Nov. 24 hearing....
