AP's 'Hot News' Suit Against All Headline News Cools

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Associated Press and All Headline News Corp. have come to terms in a fight over whether AHN stole the newswire's “hot” breaking news, in a case the plaintiff's lawyers have said is the first to apply “hot news” case law to the Web.

In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday, Judge Kevin Castel dismissed the case that the AP slapped against AHN, writing that the claims have been settled.
