Disney's Lucasfilm Settles IP Fight Over 'Star Wars' Game

Law360 (July 25, 2018, 7:01 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co.'s Lucasfilm Ltd. has reached a settlement to end a trademark and copyright lawsuit it filed over an unauthorized app based on a fictional card game from "Star Wars."

The agreement, announced in a court filing Wednesday that said the case had "settled in full," will end a dispute with a game developer called Ren Ventures Ltd. over "Sabacc," a fictional game that featured heavily in the recently released "Solo: A Star Wars Story."

Attorneys for both sides did not return requests for comment on the details of the settlement.
