Judge Refuses To Reinstate Fund’s Citigroup Suit

Law360 (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A pension fund that opted out of the Salomon Analyst WorldCom litigation class action settlement will not get the chance to bring its own lawsuit, after a judge denied the fund’s motion to revive a putative class action against the defendants.

Hallisey & Johnson Profit Sharing Plan and Hallisey & Johnson Money Purchase Pension Trust asked a judge to reinstate a suit filed against Salomon Smith Barney, now part of Citigroup World Markets Inc., and analyst Jack Grubman.
