Merck Moves To Block Challenge To Vioxx Settlement

Law360, New York (June 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Merck & Co. Inc. is seeking to strike class allegations from a lawsuit filed by four people asking to be released from the $5 billion settlement over Merck's now-withdrawn prescription painkiller Vioxx on the grounds that they only joined the settlement because they were afraid of losing their counsel.
