Prince's Family Launches Wrongful Death Suit In Minn.

Law360 (August 24, 2018, 9:56 PM EDT) -- Over two years after rock legend Prince died of an accidental overdose of the opioid fentanyl, his family on Friday sued Walgreens, a doctor and other health professionals who saw Prince before he died, claiming in a Minnesota state wrongful death suit that they failed to treat the artist for opiate addiction.

In addition to Dr. Michael T. Schulenberg and Walgreen Co., the complaint posted by ABC News also brings claims against Schulenberg's employer North Memorial Health Care and Iowa Health System, a health care system which operates hospitals and clinics under the name UnityPoint Health.
