Domino’s Can Deliver Pizza Hut’s Invalidity Pie In IP Row

Law360 (August 31, 2018, 8:24 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge said Thursday he’d let Domino’s deliver a fully-pled challenge to Ameranth Inc.’s online ordering patent — a motion that was originally filed by Pizza Hut, but abandoned after that company settled — saying the invalidity bid could determine infringement claims against 30 other companies. 

Pizza Hut Inc. had filed a summary judgment bid challenging Ameranth’s online menu and order placement patent in June, and the motion was fully briefed when the companies settled weeks ago.
