Utah Driver Sues Tesla After Car Crashes In Autopilot

Law360 (September 5, 2018, 10:17 PM EDT) -- A Utah woman who rear-ended stopped traffic while operating a Tesla car in autopilot mode has sued the company in state court claiming sales representatives told her the vehicle would brake automatically. 

Heather P. Lommatzsch told a Utah state court Tuesday that she was behind the wheel of a Tesla Inc. Model S in May when the car failed to stop for traffic at a red light.
