Tyler Tech Workers Win Cert. In FLSA Action

Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has certified a collective action brought by former employees of Tyler Technologies Inc., a software provider to the public sector, who allege they were not paid overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday granted the plaintiffs' motion to certify the collective action, ruling that they had provided sufficient evidence that similarly situated plaintiffs existed.
