Actuary Blasts 'Soap-Operatic' Suit Over Retirement Plan

Law360 (September 14, 2018, 10:15 PM EDT) -- A third-party pension administration firm on Friday urged a Rhode Island federal judge to nix a suit alleging a now-insolvent defined benefit retirement plan wrongly claimed a religious exemption and was severely underfunded, saying the proposed class had suffered no injury despite the “soap-operatic tale of wrongdoing” it spun in its complaint.
