Law360 (October 10, 2018, 3:26 PM EDT) -- On Oct. 2, 2018, Primera Air joined the list of airlines that have filed for insolvency in the last year. The airline, a low-cost carrier that has its origins in Iceland but subsequently moved its operations to Denmark, was owned by the Icelandic Primera Travel Group. Primera Air flew seven Boeing aircraft from bases in Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. It offered trans-Atlantic flights from the Birmingham and Stansted airports in the U.K. with flights to Washington, D.C; Newark, New Jersey; Boston and Toronto.
